29 Sep 2025
The Marlins had another eventful and successful week in the pool.
On Thursday, 25th September, the club held the second round of their Club Championships. Swimmers took on challenging events, including the gruelling 400m Individual Medley and the fast-paced 200m Freestyle. The event showcased determination, skill, and great team spirit.
Later in the week, on the 27th and 28th of September, 22 swimmers represented the club at the City of Peterborough Swimming Club Season Opener, held at Manor Leisure in Whittlesey.
Many swimmers competed across the entire weekend, putting in outstanding effort and achieving an impressive total of 47 personal bests. Several athletes also secured medals and qualifying times that may see them through to this season’s County Championships.
A special highlight of the weekend was Chloe Mills, who celebrated her 12th birthday at the competition. Choosing to swim on her big day, Chloe was cheered on by everyone at the venue, making it a birthday to remember.
Congratulations to all swimmers for their hard work and fantastic achievements!
