Marlins had another eventful weekend as the club hosted the final round of its Club Championships on 9th November at Manor Leisure Centre in Whittlesey.

A total of 63 swimmers took part, competing in 50m races and the 100m individual medley. Many of the club’s younger swimmers, new to competitive racing, joined the more experienced members and delivered some fantastic performances. Several swimmers achieved personal bests and even secured qualifying times for the 2026 County Championships.

The club expressed its gratitude to the referees, officials, coaches, and parents who made the event possible. Without their support and dedication, these valuable opportunities for the swimmers could not take place.

Elsewhere, Marlins’ Toni Wilson represented Cambridgeshire at the Masters Inter County Championships in Biggleswade. Competing in four events — including the 50m freestyle and several relays — Toni put in an outstanding performance, helping Cambridgeshire to an impressive 5th place finish.

Meanwhile, Marlins swimmers Annie Gooch, Alice Camplin, and Hannah Camplin took part in the Special Olympics Eastern Region Swimming Gala 2025 on 8th November at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre in St Albans. Their dedication and hard work paid off, with Alice and Hannah both winning gold medals and Annie earning a collection of silvers.
