County Championships 2026 Session 1-5

March Marlins’ Blue Army competed at the Cambridgeshire County Championships at Parkside Pool in Cambridge on 23rd, 24th and 25th January.

A total of 25 swimmers had the honour of representing the club at this prestigious event. Every athlete delivered impressive performances, demonstrating commitment, determination and team spirit throughout the weekend.

Freddie Haylock was the sole qualifier from the Junior C squad and produced an outstanding swim, surprising coaches and supporters alike with a huge seven-second personal best. His performance earned him a place in the final, where he finished seventh in his age group.

For Beth Staton and Harper Wilmer, the championships marked their first county competition. Both swimmers rose to the occasion, delivering confident and encouraging performances against strong opposition.

The team will return to Parkside Pool for the second weekend of the championships on 7th February.
