March Marlins had a full weekend.
Many swimmers competed at South Lincs competitive Swimming Club Tulip Meet 2025 at Castle sports centre on 17th and 18th May.
Their hard work paid off, swimmers achieved 67 personal best,overall club got 26 gold, 16 silver, 9bronze
Over 2 days, Jacob Ure gained impressive 4 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze medals.
Marlin’s stars swimmer Harriet Feaviour and Jude Staton swam 6 races and gained 6 gold medals.
For the 200m freestyle team relay, over 13 team of Jacob Ure, Kitty Payne, Isla Staton and Jude Staton won the age category by 2 seconds.
Jude Staton also won the friendly event at the end of competition, skins, where the 6 fastest swimmers from the 50m freestyle, race the 50m over and over again, each time, the slowest gets eliminated, finding the fastest.
Isla Staton got 4 gold and 1 silver medals as well as contributing to the relay team to win.
Elsewhere, younger swimmers competed at Junior Fenland League Round 2 on 17th May in Newmarket.
Marlins two team, March Blue and Pink both swam really well against the swimming clubs from Thetford and Bottisham. So many swimmers gained fantastic personal bests and March Blue won the round by far.
